Among the tests I will be doing on my fixed site, I'll be installing some modules and taking notes.

Social 2s

• Install from JED worked fine
• Setup/Config is fine (though limited, but that's the plugin, not Joomla itself)
• Config saves and takes effect
• All good ehre

Akeeba Backup

• Install from JED failed, generic error message, no real details
• Upload and install package fails with the same generic error
• Install from folder fails with the same generic error
• Install from URL fails with the same generic error
  • At this point I was about to rage-quit
• Searching Akeeb's site for any help

•  Deleting folders as suggested
• Install from JED worked great

CoalaWeb Social Links

• Install from JED worked fine
• Config saves fine
• (It looks like all the REALLY useful features are part of the 'PRO'/paid version)
• Uninstalling the extension as per:

•  Uninstalled just fine

Extension Updates

• 3 Extensions require updates
• Updating 1 at a time
  • They all updated just fine

Joomla Update

• Joomla also requires an update, 3.8.5 to 3.8.6
• Updated just fine
